Some people may have noticed my byline has disappeared from BetaNews this week rather abruptly. I’d figure I’d post it here just to say that as of Monday, I am no longer employed with the company. While the exact details of what occurred I cannot disclose, trust me when I say that we are attempting to make the separation an amicable one.
It is definitely for the better. While yes, it is somewhat unnerving considering the state of the economy right now, I feel now post-BetaNews that I will be able to move on to bigger and better things. While yes, four years there is a significant chunk of my life, there are many opportunities to be had elsewhere.
Only 48 hours or so have passed since Monday, and things are already moving. I am now freelancing for Harry McCracken’s blog Technologizer, and am in the process of talking with other outlets as well. It’s an exciting new world.
